HERSHEYPARK /
GIANT CENTER SHIFTS
Here you will find the details of the Hersheypark / Giant Center volunteer shift program.
1. For every hour you work you will earn $3.00 towards your students account.
2. Hershey determines if the shift is single, double or even triple vouchers.
3. Cathy Wedemeyer coordinates the program for the Northern Music Boosters. You must contact
Cathy if you are interested in working a shift - you cannot contact Hershey directly or just show up.

DRESS CODE:
All volunteers are required to dress alike in the following:
* Khaki colored pants/shorts/Bermudas
(No JEANS or CAPRI Pants! No pants/shorts/shirts with rips, tears, or cargo pockets.)
* Wear a white or light colored polo shirt minus logo's, rips or tears that you can slip another shirt
or apron over. You will also be issued a blank nametag. Volunteers must turn in the shirt, apron and
nametag at the end of the shift.
* Comfortable sneakers with covered heels.
(High heels, clogs, and open-toed footwear are not permitted - including sandals!)
* If your hair extends past your collar, please pull it back in a ponytail.
* If it is "cooler" outside, we suggest that you wear an outer layer such as a jacket or sweatshirt with
NO LOGOS, WORDS OR PICTURES.
CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES:
* Cell phones, electronic picture taking devices, pagers and/or iPods are prohibited from being
visible or audible. Volunteers are only permitted to use these devices during their breaks in areas
that are out of sight from guests.
REPORTING FOR YOUR HERSHEYPARK & HERSHEY STADIUM SHIFT:
Report to the Coaster Café at least 15 minutes early.
REPORTING FOR YOUR GIANT CENTER SHIFT:
Report to the Usher room using Entrance 6 on the lower level of GIANT Center.
(If any volunteer is working at a concert/show at GIANT Center/Stadium, they MAY NOT leave their
station to see the performance.)
SIGNING IN:
All volunteers are required to sign in upon arrival for their shift. Please see the Personnel staff
member to obtain your sheet. To help speed along the process of signing in, we prefer that only one
member from each group come up to obtain the attendance sheet. Please print your name LEGIBLY
on the sheet as we use this to track volunteer hours.
JOB ASSIGNMENTS:
Here at "The Sweetest Place on Earth," everyday and every location will offer something different.
Job duties can include the following:
* Patio duty (sweeping, changing trash cans, restocking condiment areas, washing trays and other
miscellaneous tasks)
* Register (having one-on-one contact with our guests and handling a high volume of cash. If you
are not comfortable working with money, please tell a supervisor)
* Food preparation (cooking and preparing food items such as salads, burgers, french fries and
pizza. Some of these jobs require working with large machinery)
OTHER BENEFITS:
* Upon signing in, each volunteer will receive a Volunteer Meal Voucher. A meal will consist of an
entrée (burger/chicken/sandwich), a side (fries/salad/chips) and a beverage (fountain soda/water).
* All volunteers that work more than a five (5) hour shift are entitled to a break. The break will be
determined by the supervisory staff of the assigned location.
AT THE END OF YOUR SHIFT:
Please report to the Wardrobe department to turn in your used apron.
